The Prosser family moved into Town End Farm in 1963 and worked the dairy farm until 1991. The barn which now houses the shop was built in 1975 and was revolutionary for its time.
The shop began in the mid 80’s as a traditional and small farm shop and gradually over the years built up an unrivalled collection of original Victorian chimney pots; these were housed in the barn which, for many years, was left untouched by its farming history. In 2002 with the help of a JCB a wire brush and lots of paint, the Gardenbarn was born. Our development is an on-going project as we evolve and improve our home and shop environment.
